You and me were never gonna find peace together Couldn't find the time or place to write a letter And now I sing on and on, like a sparrow While watching life passing by through my window Looking at your life And how it resembles mine You didn't really know me then I can see your eyes Lover in Disguise One day we'll find that spark again The rhythm of your heart beating, like a drummer Anxious hands aching for summer Minds made up, you draw me in for the kill Maybe for love, maybe for the thrill Falling through the sky With your hand in mine Life's a trip, I don't care how it ends Faded brown eyes Lover in Disguise I hope ya still burn for me then

The other day I left my home behind again I carry with me my friends Two leaves crossing paths in a river bed Flowing along with me instead The road is unmarked, no end in sight You shift my eyes, toward the light The Wanderer's heart pulling my life apart No thrill compels me to stay, no more wasted days I can't let the past, control my future I'll ride into the dark with her Dark legs of bronze, perched on a chain-link fence I watch her in suspense The road is unmarked, no end in sight You shift my eyes, toward the light The Wanderer's heart pulling my life apart No thrill compels me to stay, no more wasted days

We're Here 03:53
Another memory made to be forgotten I know that you don't see me often And the days go by one by one Life is a blur and I jump the gun Vision of dirty boots in the mud below Illuminated by the moon's glow I feel the heat like a star in the sky When you look me in the eye We have arrived We're here now Can't go anywhere Nowhere All this thinkin' about the past It's got me feeling sick, I hope it'll pass Even now, I can't let go If it means anything, I don't know We have arrived We're here now Can't go anywhere Nowhere
4.
Call out to me and clear the air This isn't fair, I don't care Lose yourself again When will you see the morning dawn? You've been gone for too long The flame is at its end Don't leave me Don't leave me Call out to me and clear the air This isn't fair, I don't care Lose yourself again When will you see the morning dawn? You've been gone for too long The flame is at its end Don't leave me Don't leave me Don't leave me Ooh Don't leave me
5.
Tanned skin, Orphaned child Forced by day, to tame the wild Worn out lives, intertwined Scorned with no goodbye Father and son realize No need for disguise I will hold you in my hand Wash you clean from the gritty sand Southern rider on a palomino He will guide her where the winds blow In the grasp of the devil's claw Living too fast, slow down, clear the fog I will hold you in my hand Wash you clean from the gritty sand

about

I recorded this EP during the summer of 2018 at the old house that I used to live at in Arlington, TX. I wrote these songs about relationships with friends, family, lovers and how complicated it can all get. I think of this EP as a kind of companion piece to my first album, they are similar stylistically and thematically. I hope that you enjoy listening!
